LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW

We get so excited in North Carolina (Piedmont region) when we get snow. It snowed about 3 1/2" at my house but at my sister's* house , about 15 miles away, it snowed 9". Saturday was a great day for staying in and enjoying your favorite hobby. I actually worked on a quilt for my grandaughter, Kalie.

Our church services have been cancelled for today so we can stay in and enjoy all the beauty around us. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday - I know I will!!

ALL OCCASIONS STAMP-A-STACK

Wednesday night my sister, Shirley, and I had a SAS and these are the cards that I designed for the event. Shirley and I are both SU demonstrators and work together as a team. Our ladies made 12 cards, 3 of 4 designs. Please check out Shirley's blog, http://thedailystamper.blogspot.com/, to see the cards she designed.

The card on the left was made with Sahara Sand and Not Quite Navy cardstock, Bella Bleu designer paper and Kraft taffeta ribbon. The punched out sentiment was from the Think Happy Thoughts stamp set.

The card on the right was made from Soft Suede, Melon Mambo , and Very Vanilla cardstock along with the Melon Mambo polka-dot grosgrain ribbon. The Simply Said and Warmest Regards (retired) stamp sets were used.

We try to keep the cards that we make at our Stamp-A-Stacks very simple.

If you have any questions about "working as a team" please contact either one of us. The "team approach" has worked GREAT for us!!

VALENTINE WATER BOTTLE TOPPER

The Valentine Water Bottle Topper is another quick and easy treat for co-workers. Cardstock measures 9" x 2 1/4", scored at 2" and 7". Add designer paper of your choice before folding up bottom flap. Punch a hole in the top of the topper. Fold up bottom portion of topper and secure with adhesive or brads. Embellish with tags and ribbon to add a finishing touch. Add a packet of Crystal Light and you have a great little gift.

Cute 3" x 3" Valentine Love Notes made from Stampin' Up! materials and the Love You Much (#113756) stamp set. Cardstock is cute at 3" x 6", scored at 3". Embellish with ribbon, designer paper, brads, and punched out cardstock pieces. Love Notes fit in the Whisper White Mini Square Envelope (#107309).

VALENTINE TEA FOR TWO TREAT

Do you need an alternative for chocolate for a Valentine Treat? Try this little "Tea for Two Treat". Little packet holds two tea bags.

Supplies Needed:
Cardstock 6 3/4" x 3 1/2", scored at 3 1/8" x 3 5/8"
Designer Paper 2 3/4" X 3 1/8"
Inside holder - Cardstock 5 1/2" x 6 1/2" , score on 6 1/2" side 1/2" and 3". Turn cardstock and score 3" and 3 1/2"
Adhere with adhesive inside holder to outside cardstock. Use Crop-a-dile to make two holes in spine of holder and insert 16" of ribbon.

Write a little note to your Valentine on the inside.

If you Valentine had rather have chocolate put a Giradelli candy in the pouches.

TOP NOTE VALENTINE BASKET

Wouldn't your child's teacher like to have this sitting on her desk on Valentine's Day. It is so simple to make but so cute.


Supplies Needed:
Real Red C/S (#102482)
Scrap of Whisper White C/S
Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (#113439)
Top Note Die (#113463)
Full Heart Punch (#113693)
Heart to Heart Punch (#113694)
Gold Brads (optional) (#104437)
Simply Said Stamp Set (#115066)
Snail adhesive (#104332)
Dazzling Diamonds (#102023)
3 1/2" x 2" x 6 3/4" white bag (found at craft store), Cut bag down to 3 1/8"
Cut out 2 Real Red Top Note

Punch out heart on one red Top Note (don't throw away heart)
Attach 2 Top Notes to bag.
Cut out Real Red handle 11" x 1 1/2" Secure handle with adhesive or brads
Use the heart that was cut our of the Top Note to cover a peppermint pattie.

Cut out more hearts and put one of the back of pattie and make several more for basket.
Punch out white heart from the Heart to Heart punch and secure on peppermit pattie with adhesive or 2-way glue pen (#100425).

Add dazzling diamond to small white heart and adhere to red heart.

To dress the basket up a little bit cut a piece of red/white gingham ribbon (#104827)and tie on
to handle. Stamp sentiment of your choice in the middle of the white heart.
